Xperia Z, ZL Xperia, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z Tablet are the first device from Sony that will receive Android 4.4 Kitkat update
After Google officially announced Android 4.4 KitKat on several days ago, Sony has finally revealed the Android roadmap update on their devices in a post on his official blog.
Japanese manufacturer revealed the first queue list their smartphone devices that will receive Android 4.4 KitKat. Some of these smartphones are Xperia Z, ZL Xperia, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z Tablet. But before getting Android 4.4 KitKat, previous list on the above will get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update first.
As promised earlier, Sony will bring Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for its Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia SP, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Tablet. The update will begin next month, and as usual the update will come gradually to several regions in the world.
Not only that, Sony also revealed the device that will get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean which is not only available to premium smartphones only, but also a number of middle class smartphones that Sony has, such as Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V.
Google has announced that the Android 4.4 KitKat is created for smartphone that has at least 512 MB RAM. Therefore, not be an obstacle to Sony or other vendors to provide the Android 4.4 KitKat updates to their devices which like a flagship class or middle class. So it is possible that this list will grow, remember there are many smartphone in the market that already meet the minimum RAM to get Android 4.4 KitKat update.
