Gadgetenthusiast – Google was officially announced and showed the presence of Android 3.1 Honeycomb operating system, Android is finally revealed will appear in two direction of  business, where Honeycomb will only be available for the tablets.

In general, the difference between Android for smartphones with the android for the tablet can be grouped into two categories: interface  and standard application that embedded inside.

Android 3.1 Honeycomb Interface

The main difference between Android smartphone with Tablet is located on the display size and resolution on the desktop, there are five custom home screen that gives users to access all honeycomb menus.

The  home screen display that is displayed in a grid format provides flexibility to the users for added widgets, shortcuts application, and wallpaper, by pressing the + icon at the top right corner. For smartphone users they would have to wonder where are the menu button, menu button disappears and turns into a context-based. Menu button appears at the top right corner only when required and application settings can be customized.

In Android 3.1 Honeycomb, when there are events such as incoming email and messages will be displayed at the bottom right corner for a few seconds. To show it, you can simply touch the clock icon. Incoming messages will be displayed along with the menu settings.

After browsing the interface you can feel significant differences by tracing the standard applications that are embedded in Android 3.1 Honeycomb Operating System.

  1. Internet Browser
    With a larger screen resolution size, google has been doing for best to make users feel the experience of exploring the virtual world on your desktop like webbrowsing. Among the features that deserve a thumbs up is the ability to switch between windows quickly, multitouch zoom, insert the address automatically and the thumbnail sites visited.
  2. Calendar
    Android 3.1 Honeycomb calendar view does not much different from the others Android smartphone OS than the size that appear larger. With a larger size display you can comfortably manage the schedule and plan your daily activities agenda. Simply touch the event date that planned, it will appear the name of the event, time and other alarm  settings.
  3. Calculator
    The Calculator appearance is equipped with scientific calculator.
  4. Google Talk
    In addition to supporting voice and text chat, Google talk on Android 3.1 Honeycomb application also has video chat supported.
  5. Clock
